The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a stealth-stage venture operating at the forefront of the emerging AI agent economy. The company is seeking a Head of Commercial to build and scale its go-to-market motion from the ground up.
This is a founding-level role for a commercial leader who thrives in true 0-to-1 environments—someone who can define strategy, secure early enterprise customers, and shape how a category-defining product reaches the market. You will work closely with executive leadership and product teams, serving as the market-facing driver of growth during the company's earliest and most critical stage.
This role is best suited for operators who want ownership, ambiguity, and the opportunity to directly influence long-term trajectory—not candidates seeking structured, mature org environments.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to perform the following responsibilities at a senior level:
-
Design and execute the company's end-to-end commercial and go-to-market strategy, from early adoption through scalable revenue
-
Build trusted relationships with early enterprise customers, structure pilots, and convert initial traction into repeatable growth
-
Serve as the voice of the market, partnering closely with the CEO and product leadership to inform roadmap, positioning, and messaging
-
Identify, structure, and close strategic partnerships that accelerate distribution and adoption across multiple verticals
-
Establish early commercial processes, customer feedback loops, and success metrics that support long-term scaling
-
Lead complex sales cycles requiring deep technical fluency and credibility with enterprise buyers
-
Operate with high ownership across GTM execution, partnerships, customer insight, and category development
Only candidates with proven impact in early-stage commercial leadership roles will be considered.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.
-
5+ years of experience building and executing go-to-market strategy in high-growth environments
-
Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, zero-to-one startup conditions, creating structure where none exists
-
Strong technical fluency with the ability to explain complex technology to enterprise decision-makers
-
Experience selling into enterprise environments within fintech, payments, AI infrastructure, security, crypto, or adjacent innovation-heavy sectors
-
Track record of staying long enough in prior roles to deliver measurable impact (job stability and longevity required)
-
Comfort with frequent travel and high-touch customer relationship building
-
Ability to own both strategy and hands-on execution without reliance on large teams or mature infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Differentiators)
Candidates with the following background will be viewed as standout applicants:
-
Strong network of enterprise decision-makers across payments, fintech, security, crypto, or AI agent ecosystems
-
Experience selling innovative security or crypto-enabled products to sophisticated enterprise buyers
-
Early-stage startup leadership experience (Seed–Series B), or proven success launching new product lines within larger organizations
-
Proven success driving partnership-led growth and building ecosystems around emerging technology categories
-
Deep understanding of AI agents and the evolving enterprise adoption landscape
Who Thrives in This Role
-
Commercial leaders who want founding-level ownership and direct influence on company trajectory
-
Operators who enjoy building GTM motion from scratch, not inheriting mature systems
-
Candidates with deep technical curiosity and credibility selling to product-driven or engineering-heavy buyer personas
-
Leaders who balance strategic thinking with relentless execution
