Compensation: $165,000 – $227,000 base salary
Additional Compensation: Up to 15% annual bonus + equity
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or UK — no visa sponsorship now or in the future
Work Hours: Must be able to primarily work U.S. business hours
The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a fast-growing software development firm seeking a Staff Product Manager – Billing to join its Platform Products team.
This role owns the billing architecture that directly underpins revenue accuracy, operational efficiency, and product monetization. You will lead the design and evolution of real-time billing, usage metering, and payments systems in a complex, data-heavy environment. Success in this role requires deep billing domain expertise, technical fluency, and the ability to translate product innovation into reliable, auditable revenue workflows.
This is a high-impact position for product leaders who enjoy building foundational systems at scale and are comfortable operating at staff level—setting standards, influencing across functions, and owning outcomes that matter to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be evaluated for interview consideration based on demonstrated success performing the following core responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end product strategy, development, and delivery of billing, usage metering, and monetization systems

Translate evolving product offerings into accurate, scalable billing logic that supports multiple pricing and usage models

Define and maintain standardized billing specifications, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, traceability, and auditability

Partner closely with Engineering, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams to deliver reliable billing pipelines and reporting

Design and support APIs and SDKs that enable usage metering across products and services

Ensure billing data supports downstream needs, including invoicing, revenue reporting, forecasting, and customer visibility

Deliver clear, actionable reporting for executives and customers related to usage, billing, and revenue performance

Identify risks and gaps in billing workflows and proactively drive improvements before issues impact customers or revenue
Only candidates with hands-on ownership of billing platforms and financial data pipelines will be considered.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.

5–8 years of product management experience, with substantial focus on billing systems and financial data pipelines

Demonstrated experience managing complex, data-heavy platforms

Strong understanding of multiple billing models, including usage-based, transaction-based, and hybrid pricing

Proven experience ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across billing and revenue workflows

Ability to collaborate deeply with engineering teams on APIs, SDKs, and system architecture

Experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous SaaS or technology environments

Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
