Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base salary + performance incentives

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a well-established logistics organization seeking a highly connected and results-driven Domestic Freight Sales Executive to expand its presence in the Salinas produce market. This role is designed for a sales professional who understands the urgency, precision, and relationship-driven nature of temperature-controlled freight within the produce supply chain.
Success in this role depends heavily on local credibility, existing industry relationships, and the ability to independently generate and close new business with growers, shippers, packers, and distributors. The organization values individuals who can bring both a strategic approach to territory growth and the tactical discipline required to execute in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
This is not an entry-level logistics sales role. Candidates must bring direct produce freight experience and established connections within the Salinas region.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development & Market Expansion

Identify, pursue, and secure new freight opportunities with produce growers, packers, and distributors in the Salinas Valley.

Actively prospect, engage, and close new customers using industry relationships, referrals, and strategic outreach.

Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities while maintaining disciplined follow-through and execution.
Relationship Management & Client Retention

Serve as a trusted local partner to customers, providing transportation solutions aligned with their shipping timelines and operational needs.

Maintain regular in-person contact with clients to strengthen relationships and identify additional freight opportunities.

Deliver responsive communication and dependable service that reinforces long-term partnerships.
Refrigerated Freight Sales Execution

Sell temperature-controlled freight services with full understanding of transit timing, cold chain integrity, and product sensitivity.

Coordinate closely with internal operations and dispatch teams to ensure service commitments are executed properly.

Help customers navigate logistics challenges, ensuring continuity and reliability across shipments.
Territory Ownership & Sales Discipline

Operate independently within the Salinas region as the local sales representative.

Maintain accurate tracking of sales activity, pipeline progress, and account development.

Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets through disciplined execution and market engagement.
Required Qualifications (Strictly Required)

Direct experience selling domestic refrigerated freight services within the produce industry.

Current residence in Salinas, CA or immediate surrounding area with deep local market familiarity.

Strong understanding of refrigerated transportation operations, timing sensitivities, and cold chain logistics.
