Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) – Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco, CA
Local Candidates Only (must be based in one of these metro areas)
Compensation: $150,000 – $165,000 base salary
Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonus

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for an Am Law 200 firm seeking a Litigation Associate with at least two years of experience to join its Litigation Business Unit in Southern California.
This position is part of a specialized team defending automobile manufacturers, distributors, and dealerships in warranty-related litigation. While prior warranty experience is not required, candidates must bring strong core litigation skills, excellent written advocacy, and meaningful exposure to trial preparation and dispute resolution proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to:

Support the defense of warranty litigation matters on behalf of automotive manufacturers and dealer networks

Manage discovery responsibilities, including drafting responses and preparing deposition strategy

Draft and argue litigation motions, including discovery and dispositive filings
-
Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and key witnesses

Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement preparation
-
Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality writing and case analysis
-
Collaborate closely with senior litigators while taking increasing ownership of assigned matters
-
Maintain exceptional organization and attention to detail across multiple cases
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.

Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment

Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing

Experience with trial and arbitration preparation, including:

Motion practice
-
Depositions
-
Mediation participation
-

Strong advocacy, legal research, writing, and negotiation skills

Excellent academic credentials
-
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to producing high-quality work

Professional interpersonal and communication skills

Must be local to Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco and able to work onsite three days per week
