Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) – Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $225,000 – $310,000 base salary
Additional Compensation: Full benefits package + annual bonus

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a highly regarded law firm seeking a top-tier Transactional Associate with 2–5 years (ONLY) of experience to join its Global Transportation Finance practice in Los Angeles.
This role is designed for attorneys who have developed strong transactional instincts within elite law firm environments and are ready to take on complex, cross-border transportation finance matters. The practice places a premium on precision, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage sophisticated deal structures with confidence.
This is not a generalist position. Candidates must bring proven transactional depth and the ability to contribute immediately.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate meaningful experience performing the following core functions. These responsibilities are central to interview consideration:

Represent lenders, lessors, and other stakeholders in transportation finance transactions, including domestic and international matters

Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents such as credit agreements, security instruments, leases, guarantees, and ancillary deal materials

Support and manage aviation finance and broader transportation-related transactions, from structuring through closing

Conduct legal due diligence and coordinate transaction execution across multiple jurisdictions

Identify and resolve legal, commercial, and risk-related issues arising in high-value transactions

Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, clients, and counterparties to advance deal objectives

Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness in fast-paced deal environments
Only candidates with hands-on transactional experience will be considered.
Required Qualifications (Strictly Enforced)
These qualifications are non-negotiable. Candidates who do not meet all requirements should not apply.

2–5 years (ONLY) of transactional experience at an AmLaw 120 law firm
-
Substantive experience in transactional matters, including finance, M&A, or related areas

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance
-
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex deal documentation

Clear record of reliability, professionalism, and consistent career progression
