Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
Status: Full-time | Position available immediately

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a well-established civil litigation defense firm seeking a Rideshare and UM/UIM Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This role is ideal for a California-licensed attorney with meaningful experience in rideshare and uninsured/underinsured motorist defense who is looking to deepen expertise while growing within a collaborative, high-performing firm.
You will work closely with experienced partners, receive substantive responsibility, and handle cases end-to-end. The firm values quality advocacy, professionalism, and attorney development, offering a supportive environment with a clear long-term trajectory.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to a partner, the Associate Attorney will serve as the primary handling attorney on assigned matters, depending on experience level. This role provides hands-on litigation exposure and consistent client interaction, with opportunities to build subject-matter expertise and trusted client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to:

Manage civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution

Handle court appearances, discovery, and substantive motion practice

Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and pretrial preparation
-
Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and regular case updates
-
Prepare for and participate in trials as needed
-
Maintain organized, proactive case management across a full litigation lifecycle
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.

4–5 years of civil litigation experience, specifically in rideshare and UM/UIM defense

Demonstrated experience drafting, arguing, and responding to motions

Proven ability to take and defend depositions independently

Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing
-
Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
-
Stable work history with clear progression and impact
